Cruelty comes from the hatred of being
someone cries in the starless night.
Desolation is lost in the sunset of the horizon
where there is nothing left.
Nightingales, larks, and white-collared blackbirds ceased singing.
Amid rubble, gunpowder, and pain there lie thousands of lives,
animals, plants, and human beings.
A symphony is heard in the deep darkness,
it is the song of the sea with its waves of mirror and fire,
water comes to claim its crystal spotlight
life is not totally lost.
A new dawn blooms over mountains and valleys
rivers flow down blue waters while birds fly at daybreaks.
A sign from an unknown being springs from nowhere,
human beings are everywhere
hope dreams in the shadows of humbleness.
Who is to blame for all this cruelty and hate?
The lack of love, misinterpreted agreements, non-fraternity,
hidden ambitions, and betrayal.
Golden lessons for new dawns:
first comes the being and only the human being,
the Earth with its mysterious depths,
top secret:
love as the hymn to life.
